We are seeking a strong System Architect and technical leader to guide development teams within the Electronic Systems Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions Business Area. You will be responsible for the execution of system activities for programs and for supporting the product line with advancing roadmaps. You will become a subject matter expert on the newest open architectures, helping to advance open architecture usage and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within the product line. Your role will be integral to the success of BAE Systems jobs that drive innovation and defense capabilities.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills as a System Architect:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams
  • Experience leading software or systems program teams
  • Secret Security Clearance (active within the past two years)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 12 years of work experience, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive background in embedded and/or application development
  • Experience with systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience with modern engineering techniques such as Model-Based Engineering, Agile, DevSecOps, Containerization, etc.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills as a System Architect:

  • Experience developing systems for countermeasure and electronic attack solutions products, including electro-optic sensors and systems
  • Strong MBSE experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Software architecture experience
  • Embedded software development
  • Full lifecycle development experience
  • System data analysis experience

Pay Information:
Full-Time Salary Range: $147,300 – $250,400

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
