A Day in the Life of a Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer II, you will be a key member of the new product development team, driving innovation within the Surgical Business at Medtronic. This role is critical in the design and development of advanced software for medical devices, ensuring that future technologies help improve lives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test software for medical device products in this Software Engineer role.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, estimation, and planning as part of Medtronic jobs.
  • Create and maintain documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver system-minded solutions considering safety, performance, communication, and user interface.
  • Strive to meet and exceed project goals and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality System during all phases of the software development process.

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM
In this role, you will be an individual contributor responsible for advancing existing technologies or introducing new technologies within Medtronic jobs. You will work on projects from concept through implementation, applying your expertise to achieve innovative solutions. As part of Medtronic careers, you may also mentor junior colleagues or lead small teams in support of these initiatives.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Salary Range for U.S. Locations (excluding Puerto Rico): $95,200 – $142,800
  • Eligible for short-term incentive plans
  • Compensation and benefits are tailored to U.S. employees, with adjustments based on local market conditions.
