Job Description
We are seeking a Brand Design Director to join our team at TIDAL, where you’ll utilize your problem-solving skills, creativity, and leadership to drive brand excellence. As a key figure in TIDAL’s Creative Studio, you will collaborate with fellow creatives to develop innovative and compelling brand solutions that communicate TIDAL’s story and forge deeper connections between artists and music lovers. This is one of the most dynamic TIDAL music jobs where you’ll impact brand strategy and design execution across multiple channels.

You’ll take the lead on various projects, working closely with external partners such as design agencies, photographers, and producers to ensure all creative output aligns with TIDAL’s brand standards. You’ll drive ideation and execution across conceptual territories and contribute significantly to TIDAL wave careers.

You Will:

  • Lead as the go-to Art Director on cross-functional projects.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and cross-team creatives to translate marketing strategies into effective brand concepts.
  • Develop, design, and art direct content that scales across multiple channels and audiences.
  • Drive ideation through concept statements, design explorations, style frames, and presentations.
  • Guide the direction for photography, videography, typography, and design across digital and print channels.
  • Work closely with producers and managers to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, providing creative mentorship.
  • Present your work to executives and broader audiences.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in Graphic Design or Art Direction.
  • A strong ability to lead ideation and execution, with both short- and long-term vision.
  • Deep understanding of Brand Creative/Marketing processes.
  • Proven experience communicating directly with brand and product marketing partners.
  • Expertise in building presentations, mood boards, and concept decks.
  • Clear and concise presentation/communication skills, with experience presenting to executive teams.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, especially in how users engage with digital content.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and knowledge of Figma, Premiere, and After Effects.
  • Expertise in typography, composition, color, and layout.
  • Experience in mentoring and managing junior creatives.
  • Hands-on experience art-directing photoshoots and films, including briefing photographers and developing shot lists.

  • 20% Oversight of production partners

Block, Inc. (NYSE: SQ) takes a market-based approach to compensation, which varies by location. The starting pay is based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. Pay ranges may change based on market conditions and future evaluations. U.S. locations are categorized into four zones for compensation.

Zone A: USD $148,700 – USD $223,100
Zone B: USD $138,300 – USD $207,500
Zone C: USD $130,900 – USD $196,300
Zone D: USD $123,400 – USD $185,200
